Alberto Smith
Degree in Hotel and Tourism Administration of the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), with a certification in Hotel Management from Cornell University, MBA in International Business and certified by the Airport Council International (ACI) as International Airport Professional (IAP) through its AMPAP training program (first Dominican to be certified).
He is currently Director of Landside & Cargo Operations at Punta Cana International Airport. With an experience of more than 10 years holding this position, his mission in this company is to provide a world class service to passengers, delivering an excellent environment in the highly efficient terminals and making sure to continuously elevate the standards in the journey of the passenger experience, keeping the facilities in optimal conditions.
Before joining the Airport team, Mr. Smith was Operations Director in Cap Cana. It should be noted that he has 18 years of experience in hotel management in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Venezuela, and Mexico.
Mr. Smith is a member of several institutions such as: the ACI Permanent World Committee for Facilitation and Services (WFS&S), Facilitation and Security Committee of the Latin American chapter of the Airport Council Innternational (ACI-LAC), the Cluster of Logistics of the Dominican Republic (CLRD), Global ColdCahin Alliance (GCCA) and SITA Costumer Advisory Board (CAB), the largest company in the world of airport technology. Facilitator at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) for Undergraduate Programs and MBA. Proudly member of the Punta Cana-Bávaro Rotary Club
