Baljit Nagra is an accomplished senior operational and business change leader with over 20 years of experience in airport operations and developments at Heathrow Airport Limited and Australian ISS Aviation and Transport contracts. Baljit developed the initial passenger automation strategy for Heathrow Airport, and subsequently delivered a number of key transformational passenger facing solutions from inception to implementation, delivering continuous improvements and innovations, which have enhanced the overall end to end passenger journey and experience, including:
• Designing and deploying the very first Multi-International Self Service Bag Drop with two large international airlines, and integrating it with a facial biometric camera and passport, at Heathrow.
• Designing and deploying the very first facial biometric infrared cameras at a UK airport, allowing Heathrow, to operate a common departure lounge for both its domestic and international passengers.
• Delivering the world’s very first multi-airline check-in desks, for the 26 Star Alliance Carriers, as part of their transition to the new 1billion GBP Terminal 2, at Heathrow.
• Designing and deploying one of the very first electronic permanent bag tags, with a large international airline at Heathrow.
