Ben Lao, a design architect and management consultant, has enjoyed a stellar career spanning four decades with a history of success directing the strategic planning, design and implementation of multimillion-dollar airport projects worldwide. Well-versed in the execution of terminal design, master planning and airport modernization, he has an in-depth understanding of airline and airport operations. Ben has served as executive adviser to high-ranking government officials, airline and airport CEOs, exemplifying his unparalleled influence in balancing the aesthetics, functional and operational effectiveness of over 85 airports including major gateways in North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Ben considers each airport a “dynamic hub of change” that must be well thought out and meticulously planned to represent the best of a country, city and community. He worked previously for American Airlines and was Vice President of P&D/AECOM and Parsons. Ben holds master’s degrees from Harvard University and Pratt Institute.
